Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Morelia

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Morelia (Latin: Archidioecesis Moreliensis) (erected 11 August 1536 as the Diocese of Michoacán) is a Metropolitan Archdiocese, responsible for the dioceses of Apatzingan, Ciudad Lázaro Cárdenas, Tacámbaro and Zamora. It was raised to the level of archdiocese under Pope Pius IX and was given its current name on 22 November 1924.

It is headquartered at Morelia Cathedral in the city of Morelia, Michoacán.
